Important Technical Information

• The SOS Smart Button Connect works exclusively with the DPE “SOS Smart Button Connect” Android app.

• The button connects to your smartphone via Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE).

• Your phone must:

  • Be within Bluetooth range (approx. 5–10 m)

  • Have Bluetooth and mobile network signal enabled

  • Have the DPE app installed and active in the background

When pressed, the button triggers:

1. An immediate phone call to your preset emergency number(s)

2. An SMS alert with your predefined help message and (optional) GPS location

All actions take place locally on your phone, with no server dependency – ensuring full offline reliability even without internet.

• Works only with Android smartphones (version 8.0 or newer).

• iPhone/iOS currently not supported due to Apple background restrictions.
